Most people go to Vegas after they have already have found love. Whether it is to elope or on honeymoon or just a much needed vacation. I on the other hand actually found love while I was playing slots.

My story starts 16 months ago. My best friend John had just announced that he had asked his long term girlfriend to marry him and that their wedding was going to be in Vegas the following March. I was pretty excited because I had never been to Vegas before.

After arriving just after dinner on the Thursday night. We all set out on a Barchelor/Barchelorette party for the evening. For all you not familiar with this concept - this is where the bride and groom to be both go out there final night together to make sure that there is fun that iis had by all but also guarantees things don't get out of hand - usually for the groom.

After a long night of drinking, gambling and dancing it was about 5 am and most of our party had retired to their quarters for the night. I had drunken a full Red Bulls that night and I decided to try my luck at the tables for a while. Suprisingly I had trouble getting on any $10 Black Jack Tables. I tried Roulette for a while but after breaking even I decided to try my hand at the slots. At first I could only find the high holler slot machines where it cost like $100 a spin. Yikes. I had budgeted myself $1000 in gambling for the trip but with playing those slots prices my gambling could have be done in 5 minutes flat!!

I kept roaming the Caesar's Casino and found some Firiery 7's slot machines. I won a quick $50 bucks but then the slot machine went dry so I decide to go and look for another 'luckier' slot machine. I walked around for a few minutes before finally seeing one that caught my eye that was advertising a huge progressive jackpot. I thought right away that I was going to win big. I just had this feeling. But after exhausting all of my previous slot machine winnings and a good deal more, and not having seen the cocktail waitress in a while I realized it was time to go to bed. But at the last second I decided to give it one more try - and as luck with have it I got a cherry and two equal symbols (can't remember which ones) and I won a modest pot. It was at that moment that my life changed forever.

I was about to cash out what little I had left in my slot machine when I heard a voice behind me say "Nice Spin". I turned around to see an old friend Jane whom I knew from high school with a big smile on her face. I am in my mid 30's now so it has been a long time since I have seen Jane. But immediately she sat down and began playing at the slots beside me. Neither of us won but we ended up talking for a few hours while we played a few different slots around the casino.

The next day I invited her to come John's wedding with me and the rest is history. We are slatted to be married next June...in Vegas of course, and sure we will play slots again.
